Product Spotlight: HON 101 Series Desks

Furniture in commercial spaces must meet the needs of several functions, and this is never more true than in an office setting. A desk operates as everything from a stand for a computer to an organizational tool to a lunch table and sometimes a meeting spot. The HON Company, a global designer and manufacturer of office furniture, announced the introduction of its new 101 Series, a new laminate desk and storage collection.

“With 101 Series, buyers can access HON-branded products at a great price point, choosing from fully assembled desk, credenza, and return units that simplify the installation process,” said Brian Trego, vice president of product development and marketing at The HON Company. “The collection has all the components needed to design successful offices – whether it be small businesses, startup companies or professionals setting up home workspaces.”

The collection offers pre-assembled layouts, which are designed to offer convenient and ergonomic setups to make space planning easier as well as standalone products to allow flexibility in design. The 101 Series touts its function over form, as its desks can be customized with storage options or left as is. The simplified design and option for pre-assembly makes the collection perfect for small offices, start-ups or office nooks in a hospitality or retail setting.

The collection has 18 different desks available in four laminate colors: shaker cherry, mocha, pinnacle and portico teak. Storage add-on options include a stacking cabinet, tack boards in three different neutral fabric options, lateral files, credenzas, pedestals or bookcases. Satin nickel handles give a contemporary sensibility to the streamlined design.
