Transwestern announced that it represented Post Community Media LLC in the sale of a 57,950-square-foot office and warehouse building in Gaithersburg, Md., to Country Realty Co. for $5.5 million. Senior Vice Presidents Guy Copperthite and Jim Darby represented the previous owner in the transaction, while AMR Commercial LLC’s Jack Alexander represented Country Realty.

Located at 9030 Comprint Court, the property is three miles away from the Shady Grove Metro Station and two and a half miles away from RIO Washingtonian Center. The asset also offers easy access to Interstate 270. Nearby restaurants and retail amenities include The Melting Pot, Five Guys, Office Depot and The Home Depot. Most recently, the property was used as the office of The Gazette, a Montgomery County newspaper, which published its last edition on July 17, 2015.

“The new ownership of 9030 Comprint will be retrofitting the building into an automotive service center for its national brand,” said Darby in prepared remarks.
