Perth City Centre Holiday Inn Opens in Australia

$25 million went into the 18-month remodel of the Holiday Inn Perth City Centre location.

Perth, Australia—Managed by InterContinental Hotels Group, the redeveloped Holiday Inn Perth City Centre is officially open to the public. Owned by partners George Atzemis and Con Berbatis, the $25 million project includes 181 refurbished guestrooms, an additional five new rooms, seven refurbished conference rooms, ground floor lobby including an Ivy & Jack restaurant and bar and a $850,000 purpose-built canopy designed to enhance the guest experience by extending over the car bays in front of the hotel.

The redevelopment project was directed by JAXON Construction with architectural services by Bollig Design Group.

The redevelopment raises the Holiday Inn brand and experience to a new level in Perth, with each of the guestrooms offering different colors, fabrics, furniture and artwork to create a vibrant and comfortable atmosphere for guests. “We are excited to offer a range of room styles across the Superior, Deluxe and Executive categories,” added Deane Palmer, general manager of the hotel.

The Holiday Inn Perth City Centre won the “Redeveloped Hotel Award” at the 2016 AHA WA Accommodation Awards for Excellence, along with Ivy & Jack being a finalist in the “Restaurant within a Hotel” category.
