Paul Ahmed Joins CBRE Capital Markets in Ft. Lauderdale

With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Ahmed joins the Debt & Structured Finance team as senior vice president.

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.—CBRE Group Inc. recently announced that Paul Ahmed has joined CBRE Capital Markets’ Debt & Structured Finance team as senior vice president.

Based in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, Ahmed will originate and source real estate financing and debt for all commercial property types throughout South Florida. He will report to CBRE Capital Markets’ Executive Managing Director Jeffrey Majewski, who oversees the company’s debt and structured finance platform in the U.S.

Throughout the course of his career, Ahmed has placed in excess of $5 billion in commercial real estate loans. “With more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, Paul is a highly valuable addition to our Capital Markets team,” said Majewski in a prepared statement. “His in-depth market knowledge of the South Florida region along with his real estate financing expertise will be instrumental to our platform as we continue to expand throughout the region.”

Prior to joining CBRE, Ahmed was a senior vice president at Walker & Dunlop, being responsible for originating commercial loans for third parties. Previously, he was vice president at Grandbridge Real Estate Capital.

Ahmed is a graduate of the University of Florida and received his Master’s degree from Florida Atlantic University. He is an active member of several industry organizations including International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), among others.
