Altia Systems has introduced PanaCast 3, a video system which integrates intelligent panoramic video. The product features three 13-megapixel cameras, stereo microphones and advanced software to deliver complete video coverage, audio capture and data sensing. The device can be used in huddle rooms, board rooms and auditoriums.

PanaCast 3 has a built-in Intelligent Vision software, which uses the three 13-megapixel cameras working as one via the PanaCast Vision Processor. The digital signal processor and the two omnidirectional microphones provide 180-degree video, audio and AI/data coverage. The panoramic cameras deliver 4K resolution, without the distortion of ultra-wide angle or fisheye lens cameras, lossless zoom up to 6 times, as well as real-time video stitching. The advanced multi-sensor AI array has built-in capabilities to detect people.

Software compatibility

The USB enabled Plug-and-Play device works with the most popular collaboration services, without requiring the download of extra drivers or integration software. Compatible services include Microsoft Teams, Skype, Zoom, Cisco WebEx, Slack, Google Hangouts, GoToMeeting and join.me. The product mounts on top of any digital display or on a wall with available mounting hardware.

“In addition to enhanced video and audio performance, the PanaCast 3 system provides accurate AI data, which is critical for companies to improve participants’ experience autonomously, automate workflows, and generate data lakes of valid information,” Aurangzeb Khan, president & CEO of Altia Systems, said in a prepared statement.

Additional features include Intelligent Zoom, which autonomously adjusts the field of view to include everyone in the conversation, PanaCast API, which enables developers and partners to query the system for real-time information, such as people count data, and PanaCast Vivid, which maximizes video performance from rooms with widely varying light conditions.
