Outrigger Resorts Appoints New Area General Manager

Hospitality veteran Clyde Min takes the managing helm at two Outrigger properties.

Honolulu—Honolulu-based Outrigger Hotels & Resorts has recently appointed Clyde Min as area general manager. He will be taking full responsibility for two beachfront properties: Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort and Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort.

Having more than 24 years of extensive hospitality experience spanning the U.S. and Asia Pacific, Min will be in charge of marketing and revenue efforts at the two beachfront resorts, as well as integration and coordination of sales, while guaranteeing operational excellence and success in financial, revenue and operational objectives.

Min’s professional track record includes positions such as vice president of asset management for a variety of companies, inlcuding Singapore-based Pacifica Partners Private Ltd., Kingdom Hotel Investments for the Asia-Pacific region and Host Hotels and Resorts in Maryland. He also served as Walt Disney World’s representative for planning and implementing operational standards, as well as other operational management positions at Williamsburg Inn in Virginia, Marina Mandarin Singapore, Hotel Hana-Maui and Regent International Hostels in Thailand and Fiji.

Prior to joining Outrigger Resorts, Min served as a lecturer at the School of Travel Industry Management at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He graduated the same university in 1971 with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration.

A Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA), Min holds Real Estate, Development and Hotel Investment as well as General Manager’s Program certificates from Cornell University. He is a member of the Hospitality Asset Managers Association USA and is on the board of TIM International Inc.
