Greenville, S.C.—Upscale global hotel brand Embassy Suites by Hilton announced the opening of a newly built hotel in downtown Greenville.

The 156-suite hotel at 250 Riverplace is conveniently located near the Reedy River and Liberty Bridge, as well as a plethora of retail, restaurants, galleries and businesses along the historic Main Street. Additionally, the hotel offers views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Falls Park. Embassy Suites Greenville Downtown Riverplace is the brand’s second property in Upstate South Carolina.

“Its convenient location near numerous attractions makes it an ideal option for leisure and business travelers,” Alan Roberts, global head at Embassy Suites by Hilton, said in prepared remarks.

The eight-story hotel is owned by RiverStreet Lodging LLC and was developed by Windsor Aughtry Hotel Group. Managed by Hospitality America, Embassy Suites Greenville Downtown Riverplace includes a rooftop restaurant and lounge. Up to 300 people can take part in receptions, business conferences and other events in the 5,500-square-foot meeting space available. A saltwater swimming pool and a fitness center are also among the amenities offered by the hotel.

“From its sparkling, contemporary design to its world-class Embassy Suites amenities, the hotel offers guests a unique option for lodging, dining and events,” stated Glen Williams, general manager of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Greenville Downtown Riverplace.
