New Orleans Airport Hotel Undergoes Management Changes

Wyndham Garden Inn–New Orleans Airport

New Orleans—Louisiana-based Expotel Hospitality, in partnership with Conor Acquisitions, Gries Investment Funds and Gianco Cos., has recently assumed management of the Wyndham Garden Inn – New Orleans Airport hotel.

The 220-key Wyndham Garden Inn–New Orleans Airport is located at 6401 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie, La., and features over 5,565 square feet of flexible meeting space, a new lobby and completely renovated bar and restaurant. Additional amenities include a business center, fitness center, an outdoor pool, and complimentary parking.

The joint venture between Conor Acquisitions, Gries Investment Funds and Gianco Cos. provided asset management and construction management for the most recent renovations of the hotel, which totaled approximately $3.2 million. The upgrades are expected to be completed later this year.

“There’s no better group to have in place coming out of the renovations than Expotel. They know the hotel better than anyone, as they managed it prior to us purchasing the asset and have unmatched local expertise. With most of the common areas complete and only a few floors to go, we are already seeing a great response from returning guests and first-timers,” said Gianfilippo, founder of Gianco Cos., in a prepared statement.

“As this property wraps up the current renovations, we are excited to add a refreshed product back into the market. Our transition team was quick to get right to work and have done an amazing job leading our property based team through the transition,” added Tim Waz, Expotel’s president & COO.
