One of Miami’s newest Class-A office towers, the 35-story 1450 Brickell, continues making headlines one year after its inauguration. The first Miami office tower (and one of the first buildings in South Florida) to receive LEED-Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, the high rise, along with the high-end multifamily residential complex One Broadway, recently added three new restaurants to its menu of dining options.

Brickell Deli, Dominique’s Bistro, and a new dining concept by the team behind Miami Beach’s AltaMare will soon open at 1450 Brickel, a desirable location between Brickell Avenue and South Miami Avenue at the intersection with 15th Street. The trio of eateries will be close to neighboring restaurants such as Brickell Irish Pub, Pieduck’s Pizza, Puerto Madero (opening Fall 2011), and the newly opened Sacha’s Café in 1450 Brickell’s breezeway.

Totaling 8,388 square feet of class-A retail space, the three leases—whose financial terms have not been disclosed—were brokered by Tere Blanca and Danet Linares of Blanca Commercial Real Estate, on behalf of the landlords 1450 Brickell, LLC and Park Place at Brickell, LLC. Tere Blanca, President and CEO of Blanca Commercial Real Estate, is confident about the success of the three new restaurants. The extended customer base goes beyond the tenants of 1450 Brickell and One Broadway. “This area has become a pedestrian-friendly dining destination,” says Blanca, “with more than 30 retailers and restaurants all within walking distance. This trend should continue as more residents and businesses—from South Florida and beyond—make downtown Miami and the Brickell Financial District their home.”

The recent leases follow an announcement made a couple of months ago by Blanca Commercial Real Estate, according to which 1450 Brickell had reached 65 percent occupancy, with the signing of business law firm Berger Singerman. Other tenants include commercial real estate services firm Holiday Fenoglio Fowler, JPMorgan Chase, City National Bank, BNY Mellon, executive search firm Korn/Ferry International, Spanish financial institution Bancaja, Ratzan Law Group, Kempler & Co. and investment banking firm BroadSpan Capital.
