A Reston-based developer is looking to bring more condos to the District.

Earlier this month, Duball LLC has started work on a 46-unit condo project right across the street from StonebirdgeCarras’ Harris Teeter-anchored mixed-use development, the Washington Business Journal reported. Called Stonehall, the new building is expected to cost about $35 million. It is designed to attract empty nesters and hundreds of new Walter Reed employees.

Duball expects to complete the ultra-luxury project in the third quarter of 2016. Stonehall will be a nine-story building located at the corner of Battery Lane and Woodmont Ave. in Bethesda. The property will include 46 residences ranging in size from 950 to 2,500 square feet. Pre-sales are expected to start this fall and, according to the development’s website, prices for two-bedroom units will start from $800,000, for three-bedrooms from $1.7 million and for penthouses from $2.3 million. In addition to the 46 residences, Stonehall will also feature 3,000 square feet of street-level retail space and underground parking for its residents.

According to the Journal, Duball has hired the Paradigm Cos. as general contractor, and Maurice Walters Architect Inc. was selected to create the conceptual plans for the project.
