Public Storage, the largest brand of self-storage services in the U.S., has recently hit a new milestone in the Centennial State. The Glendale, Ca.-based company has opened its 50th location in the larger Denver area.

Conveniently located just off of I-70 in the Stapleton Business Center, the new self-storage facility will serve residents of the 3,500 homes and 480 apartments that are part of Stapleton, Denver’s largest neighborhood currently under development.

Public Storage 10298 E. 45th Ave. is located on five acres formerly part of a larger redevelopment effort undertaken after the closing of the Stapleton International Airport in 1995. Referred to as the Stapleton Community, the neighborhood is expected to be operational by 2016, and will be connected to central Denver via a commuter rail line currently under construction. Stapleton will incorporate nine neighborhoods, nine private and public schools, 50 parks and several shopping and business districts.

Public Storage was founded in 1972 by Wayne Hughes and Kenneth Volk Jr. with a single self-storage building in California. The company now has more than 2,250 locations across the U.S., and is a member of the S&P 500 stock market index.
