Merus Breaks Ground on 191 KSF Columbus Facility
The industrial project is set to come online next year.
Merus has started construction on Dixon Commerce Center, a 190,960-square-foot industrial facility in Obetz, Ohio. The project is set to come online in April next year.
The developer acquired the 14.2-acre site last month. Cushman & Wakefield is handling leasing at the distribution, manufacturing and logistics facility.
Rising at 4390 Hubner Way, the building is just off Interstate 270 and about 5 miles from Rickenbacker International Airport. Downtown Columbus, Ohio, is 9 miles away, while John Glenn Columbus International Airport is within 11 miles northeast.

The rear-load facility will have 32-foot clear maximum heights and direct access to regional and national transportation networks. The warehouse will also have 19 dock-high loading doors and two drive-in doors, as well as a 2,000-square-foot office component. The industrial space will be divisible to a minimum of 69,440 square feet.
Cushman & Wakefield Executive Director Domenic Skunda, Director Zach Rines and Executive Managing Director Ben Johnson are in charge of leasing.
Columbus industrial pipeline ranks high nationally
Columbus’ industrial sector had 12.9 million square feet underway as of May, according to a Yardi Matrix report. The metro ranked second nationally, with only Phoenix (25 million square feet) surpassing it. The market’s pipeline also accounted for 3.8 percent of its total stock.
One of the projects underway is VanTrust Real Estate’s Building I within Park 762, a 1 million-square-foot industrial project in Lockbourne, Ohio. The facility is set to come online in the second quarter of next year.
