McGuireWoods Relocating NYC Office
The firm has signed a 15-year lease to occupy 41,900 square feet at 1251 Avenue of the Americas, a 54-story office tower Mitsui Fudosan America Inc. owns in Midtown Manhattan.

McGuireWoods has decided to relocate its New York office to a larger space at the 1251 Avenue of the Americas high-rise in Midtown Manhattan. The firm signed a 15-year lease at the Mitsui Fudosan America Inc.-owned office tower.
The company will occupy the entire 20th floor, totaling 41,900 square feet, which provides an additional 7,000 square feet of space compared to McGuireWoods’ current location. The LEED Silver-certified property offers a total of 2.4 million square feet across 54 stories. Built in 1970, the high-rise underwent cosmetic renovations in 1993 and is home to other major tenants, including DLA Piper, UBS, Natixis, Toshiba and Chase Bank. According to Yardi Matrix, Mitsui has owned the property since 1986, when it purchased the asset from The Rockefeller Group for $610 million.Â
“As we continue adding to our deep and talented team, this move enables us to meet the needs of the firm and our clients,” said Noreen Kelly, managing partner of the firm’s New York office, in prepared remarks. “At 1251 Avenue of the Americas, we look forward to creating an office space that reflects the firm’s increasing New York profile and presence.”
