MB Real Estate said earlier this month that it represented workplace solutions company Regus in a 29,517 square-foot lease at 22 West Washington in Chicago. The firm has already moved into its new fifteenth-floor space.

Regus is the latest tenant at the new 17-story, 440,000 square-foot building, which is part of the Block 37 development. Block 37 is a shopping, dining, and entertainment district encompassing an entire city block in the middle of Chicago’s downtown Loop. Fellow tenants at 22 West Washington include CBS 2 Chicago and investment resource firm Morningstar.

MB Real Estate executive vice president of leasing services Daniel Nikitas said he could not release financial information from the transaction, but that the space was perfect for Regus.

“It had been built-out for a similar shared office operation and was even fully furnished,” he told CPE. “MB had worked with Regus on a similar transaction in the River North submarket of Chicago’s central business district and followed that success by working (together) again.”

That previous transaction consisted of sublease negotiations last year at 321 North Clark Street, a new 25,771 square foot business center.
