CBRE to Market, Lease Hong Kong Science Park

The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corp. has appointed CBRE Group Inc. as the strategic marketing and leasing consultant for the $631 million third phase of the Hong Kong Science Park. The project is part of a concerted effort by the Hong Kong government to facilitate a world-class research infrastructure in the city. CBRE Group Inc. will promote the new 1.1 million-square-foot development globally, with a focus on landing biotechnology and green-tech organizations. The first building in Phase III is scheduled to be online in late 2013.

KBS Signs 116 KSF Lease in Texas

KBS Real Estate Investment Trust II has renewed and expanded its headquarters lease with Plano Data at Plano Business Park in the city north of Dallas. The 116,376-square-foot deal, which includes a 16,376-square-foot expansion, brings the complex to full occupancy.

Transwestern Lands Goodrich for 105 KSF

Transwestern has signed aerospace company Good-rich Corp. to a 104,662-square-foot lease at the Brea Imperial Center in Brea, Calif. The company will consolidate employees from two locations and will occupy 100 percent of the facility.

Wilder Nabs 412 KSF Contract

The Wilder Cos. has added 412,000 square feet of shopping-center space to its management portfolio. The service firm will head leasing and management for The Shops at Valley, a 300,000-square-foot retail center in Warrington, Pa., and Somerset Square, a 112,000-square-foot center in Glastonbury, Conn.

Coreland Lands 1.2 MSF Contract

Coreland Cos. has been awarded a contract by Watt Properties to manage a 1.2 million-square-foot portfolio of neighborhood retail properties located across Southern California. The 12 properties are in Orange, Los Angeles and Riverside counties.

Lee & Associates Completes 500 KSF Industrial Lease

Lee & Associates has secured a five-year lease for a 500,000-square-foot facility at 20002 Business Parkway in the City of Industry, Calif. The space will be filled by Acme Furniture, which also operates a 320,000-square-foot headquarters in the city.

Dana-Farber Leases 154 KSF

The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has become the first tenant in a 413,536-square-foot life-sciences center in Boston, with a 154,000-square-foot lease. The project is being developed by a series of joint ventures involving Clarion Partners, Alexandria Real Estate Equities, National Development and Charles River Realty Investors.
