Magleby to Head Capital Markets at Cushman

Cushman & Wakefield has tapped Curtis Magleby, a finance and investment specialist with two decades of experience, as senior managing director of capital markets & U.S. western region leader.

Cushman & Wakefield has tapped Curtis Magleby, a finance and investment specialist with two decades of experience, as senior managing director of capital markets & U.S. western region leader. Magleby, who comes to Cushman from RBR Capital, will be based in Los Angeles.

He will be responsible for Cushman’s investment sales, debt and equity finance and investment banking divisions in the western half of the United States. Before working for RBR, he established a srong track record in real estate asset management and investment at firms including Wachovia Securities, Lehman Bros. and Salomon Smith Barney.

While at Wachovia from 2005 to 2009, Magleby worked as a managing director in charge of lodging and gaming in investment banking, where he oversaw the creation of new revenue streams as well as the execution of more than 100 capital markets deals. While at Lehman Bros. from 1998 to 2005, he served in a variety of leadership roles including working as managing director of the firm’s real estate and leisure/casino group.

According to Cushman vice president & global head of capital markets Greg Vorwaller, Magleby’s in-depth, hands-on experience in the real estate capital markets field will prove invaluable to his colleagues.
