Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen Buys New HQ Building in Independence
The National Division of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, the oldest labor union in North America, is moving its headquarters out of Downtown Cleveland, after almost a century and a half in the area. Its new HQ will be located in Independence.
Laurus Corp. Acquires Scottsdale’s Canyon Village
Laurus Corp., an affiliate of real estate private equity firm Ethika Investments, L.L.C., recently acquired the Canyon Village office park in Scottsdale for an undisclosed amount. Canyon Village is a four-building, 93,890-square-foot office complex in the DC Ranch mixed-use neighborhood center. It features in addition to office components, various retailers and restaurants.

Riata Crossing North, the office complex comprised of four buildings in Northwest Austin, has been sold. The buyer is Apple Inc., already the solely occupant of the entire complex, which it had been leasing before the acquisition. The price or further details of the transaction were not disclosed, reports The Austin American-Statesman.
Waterton Associates Picks up Baldwin Park-Area Community
The 212-unit Promenade Crossing garden-style apartment community changed hands recently, Waterton Associates, LLC announced. The acquisition marks the sixth addition to the Chicago-based real estate investor and operator’s Florida portfolio and it is their second property acquired this year.
