Developer Names Hotel Flag for Madisonville Project
More details have come to light about the $124 million mixed-use development in Madisonville. RBM Development Company LLC, the project’s developer, has entered into an agreement with the Wyndham Hotel Group, to brand and manage a $60 million hotel planned at the site, under its Dolce Hotels and Resorts flag.

The Coves at Chesapeake townhome community in Glen Burnie is the latest addition to the list of large, Greater Baltimore multifamily assets that changed hands this year. The property traded for $76.25 million.
Ground Broken on $65.6M Innovation Hub in East Baltimore
Forest City-New East Baltimore Partnership, a partnership between Forest City Enterprises, Inc. and Presidential Partners LLC, is building a new innovation hub for life sciences in East Baltimore, just north of the Johns Hopkins medical campus. The project is called 1812 Ashland Avenue and is expected to cost $65.6 million.
JMT to Move 600 Baltimore County Employees to Hunt Valley
One of the largest architecture and engineering firms in the Greater Baltimore area is moving its headquarters to Hunt Valley. Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson will relocate and consolidate its operations into a new building, to be built at 40 Wight Avenue.
EMG Leases 16,000 Square Feet at BECO Towers
BECO Management, Inc., a Rockville-based commercial real estate company, has recently announced the signing of a new tenant at the BECO Towers, in Owings Mills. Since January 1, the company has leased more than 52,000 square feet of space at the property, reducing the total vacancy by 50 percent.

Last week, St. John Properties, Inc. announced the start of construction on three new speculative buildings at the Baltimore Crossroads mixed-use business community, in the White Marsh section of Baltimore County. The properties will add approximately 89,000 square feet of space.

San Francisco City Hall Sets LEED Record
San Francisco’s century-old City Hall was recently awarded the highest level of LEED Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The building is now the oldest property in the entire country to have been granted LEED Platinum Certification for Existing Buildings Operations and Maintenance. The rating comes as the result of an ample effort carried out by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, the U.S. EPA and the City Administrator’s Office to raise the efficiency of the asset.

The center has added 25 new stores to its offering, becoming one of the largest properties of its kind in the entire country. Developer Simon Property Group officially unveiled the expansion and renovation project that has also added to the asset’s common areas and amenity package last week.
