Langtree Properties and RL West Properties have joined forces to begin the development of the $800 million, 300-acre Langtree at the Lake planned community in Mooresville, N.C. Located on Lake Norman, the project has four miles of waterfront and two miles of Interstate 77 frontage. It is situated between two corporate campuses: Lowes and Ingersoll-Rand.
The new joint venture will be known as Langtree Development Co. L.L.C. The project will eventually include luxury apartments, hotel and retail space.
According to Langtree president Rick Howard, the implementation of the project is the realization of a dream. He added that as a partner, RL West is well capitalized with a proven history of complementary performance.
RL West and Langtree Development president Steve Welly said that The Langtree Group set out to achieve a variety of goals six years ago: respecting the local community and its heritage, enhancing quality of life and planning for the future.
