Kiddar Capital Appoints New Principal

Stephen Porter has joined Kiddar Capital, where he'll be in charge of managing the company’s real estate investment portfolio in his new role as principal.

Washington, D.C.—Private equity firm Kiddar Capital recently announced it has appointed Stephen Porter as principal in its real estate group. In this role, Porter will manage Kiddar’s real estate investment portfolio, managing the execution of transactions, underwriting and seeing projects through completion.

Before joining Kiddar’s real estate group, Porter worked at real estate company Zuckerman Gravely as senior accountant and asset analyst for more than eight years. His role included property acquisition, refinances and asset management for a portfolio of commercial, residential, and retail assets worth in excess of $2 billion. Previously, he worked for 10 years as accountant with Miller Capital Management.

“His depth of experience will benefit our portfolio tremendously. Stephen’s talents and discerning financial skills will be critical to our continued success,” said Todd Hitt, founder of Kiddar Capital, in prepared remarks.

Falls Church, Va.-based Kiddar Capital is a private equity firm established in 2007 by real estate and construction industry veteran Todd Hitt. The firm originates structures and manages equity investments over a wide range of asset types. Since its inception, Kiddar has deployed more than$600 million worth of capital. The company recently moved from Reston, Va., within D.C.’s Capital Beltway, to Falls Church.
