KB Home held grand openings for four new home communities in the Tucson area and plans the launch of two more new residential projects and a Tucson Design Studio through the remainder of the year.

KB Home is one of the largest and most recognized homebuilders in the US with deep roots and expertise in the Tucson market. In 1998, it acquired local builder Estes Homebuilding Co., contributing over 40 years of experience to the KB team. Both companies were established in 1957.

The company opens its new Tucson Design Studio this fall, where homebuyers can select from custom design options according to their individual preferences. At the downtown location just off I-10, buyers will have the opportunity to select their specific lot location, floor plan, structural options, décor and technology, working one-on-one with a design consultant. In addition, they have various sustainability-focused components to choose from in case their home of choice doesn’t include them by default.

KB Home has already inaugurated Cantabria at Rancho Valencia and Mountain Vail Reserve near Interstate 10 within the city’s southeastern precincts, Somerset at Gladden Farms in Marana and Presidio Porvenir at Rancho Sahuarita that is next to I-19 in the southern suburbs. In addition, La Cima Esplendora and Santa Rita Ranch will debut this winter on the east and southeast sides of the city.

The homebuilder says the rise in new openings lifts KB Home’s projected community count in the area by the end of 2014 to its highest level in the past five years.
