JLL Secures 281 KSF South FL Industrial Lease
Windward Design Group is planning to centralize its seven locations into one main manufacturing and distribution headquarters in Sarasota later this summer.

JLL has completed a 281,276-square-foot lease in Sarasota, Fla., on behalf of Windward Design Group, a family-owned manufacturer of outdoor furniture. The company will consolidate its seven operations into the new location.
Located at 2150 Whitfield Ave., the asset provides easy access to Interstate 75 and is in close proximity to U.S. Route 301 and Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. The property’s central location makes it a favorable distribution hub.
Built in 1967, the facility was expanded in stages and became suitable for outdoor furniture manufacturing. The property features 200,000 square feet of manufacturing space, 18,000 square feet of office and showroom space and 65,000 square feet of air-conditioned warehouse space.
JLL Managing Director Gary Godsey and Vice President Scott Altieri represented the tenant in the lease negotiations with landlord Daylion.
“The building, which was originally designed for outdoor furniture manufacturing, is ideally suited to our business and meets our growth needs. We’re excited to be moving in this summer and be able to put to use all the property has to offer,” said Windward Design Group President David Peace, in a prepared statement.
JLL has recently negotiated a 216,000-square-foot lease for Samsung’s new headquarters in Texas.
