JLL Expands West Coast Retail Development Team

Greg Whitney brings more than 25 years of retail development experience to his new position. As senior vice president, he will identify development opportunities, implement strategies and oversee projects.

After recently hiring Google’s former head of product, JLL has appointed Greg Whitney as senior vice president of its West Coast Retail Development team. In his new position, Whitney will focus on West Coast region-related development opportunities, he will implement ground-up and redevelopment strategies and will oversee the completion of ongoing projects.

Whitney brings more than 25 years of national and international retail development experience to JLL. He has a background in asset advisory, acquisitions and brokerage, and has directed almost 40 redevelopment projects throughout his career. Prior to joining JLL, Whitney held the position of director of development at Wilson Meany. There, he oversaw the planning and development of the new LA Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park. Before that, he was senior vice president at CBRE, where he worked on projects for companies like Paramount, MGM and Target.

Whitney is an Arizona State University alumni and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Real Estate.
