During his 11 years as Google head of product, Vinay Goel managed such mainstays as Google Maps, Google Apps and Google Station. In his new appointment—chief digital product officer of JLL—Goel is leveraging his tech savvy to help clients make better informed, data-driven decisions about real estate and workplace operations.

On the heels of joining JLL, Goel sat down with Commercial Property Executive for a podcast interview spanning topics like real estate’s digital transformation and his primary objectives as the real estate services giant’s innovation chief.

My mission is to help transform JLL to become a product-oriented company and essentially move into a Silicon Valley-type culture where we build products that are super-focused on user needs and pain points; where we build technology can be scalable; and where we leverage technologies like machine learning, AI, blockchain and IoT that can be applied to the commercial real estate space,” said Goel.
