JLL has hired industrial specialists Moon Lim and Richard Tovar to join the company’s Los Angeles Capital Markets team. Lim will serve as vice president, while Tovar joins the firm as vice president. Both hires bring mid-market industrial real estate expertise to their positions and will specialize in transactions valued between $5 million and $20 million.

Prior to joining JLL, Lim worked at an international commercial real estate firm in Southern California for more than six years. Before that, he spent four years at DAUM Commercial Real Estate Services. JLL’s new senior vice president holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics from UC Irvine.

Tovar brings to his new position more than a decade of sales experience in the Los Angeles region. He holds a master’s degree in leadership from the University of Southern California, a master’s degree in political science from California State University of Los Angeles, and a business degree from Chapman University.

“Moon and Richard are young and rising talents with an eye for detail and tremendous insight into the middle market industrial real estate world. With the growing need for ‘last-mile’ logistics solutions by e-commerce ventures and a rise in local manufacturing, demand for small and mid-sized buildings closer to urban centers has risen dramatically,” International Director David Doupe said in a prepared statement.

Earlier this year, JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group appointed Gilda Perez-Alvarado as CEO of the company’s Americas Hotels & Hospitality Group.
