Iterum Therapeutics has relocated its U.S. headquarters by leasing 10,318 square feet at 200 S. Wacker Drive St. in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. The bio-pharmaceutical company, which worked with long-term partner NKF to find a larger space for its growing team, has already been occupying an interim space at the Class A tower until the new office was ready.

The 754,891-square-foot tower is located a few blocks from Iterum’s former office of three years at 200 W. Monroe St. Completed in 1981, the asset underwent cosmetic renovations in 2012, one year before John Hancock Real Estate purchased it from Pearlmark for $214.5 million, according to Yardi Matrix.

Tenants are provided with an array of amenities including a fitness center and a rooftop deck offering views of the city’s skyline, as well as access to Lake Michigan and the Chicago River. The building is one block from Union Station and two blocks from Ogilvie Transportation Center and a CTA L stop. Several of Chicago’s iconic office properties are located in the nearby area including the 125 South Wacker tower, which Ivanhoe Cambridge bought for $145 million last year.

Managing Director Geoffrey Kasselman, Director Matthew Whipple and Vice Chairmen Bob Chodos and Steve Levitas of NKF arranged the deal on behalf of Iterum, while the landlord was represented by Cushman & Wakefield.
