Following a significant drop in U.S. investment volume from $134.6 billion in fourth-quarter 2016 to $102.7 billion in first-quarter 2017, activity has been steadily picking up throughout this year. While investment volume ended the second quarter at $106.1 billion, the third quarter saw an increase in volume to $113.2 billion, according to Real Capital Analytics data. Geopolitical and policy uncertainty led investors to take caution in the beginning of the year, but volumes seems to be back on track as we get closer to 2018.
