UK-based InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) recently announced plans to open a Holiday Inn Resort Hotel in Pagosa Springs, Colo. Owned and operated by Pagosa Lodging LLC, the property will be franchised by an IHG affiliate, and will add to the Holiday Inn Resort brand portfolio of 40 properties worldwide.

“These properties further strengthen the reach and presence of the Holiday Inn Portfolio of Brands and are backed by the quality and service guests have come to expect,” says Joel Eisemann, chief development officer for IHG.

The three-story, 101-room hotel will feature 8,500 square feet of meeting space, indoor pool, business and fitness centers and complimentary Internet access to all its guests. Conveniently located in the San Juan Mountains, the hotel will offer guests access to activities such as golfing, rafting, horseback riding, and ATV riding. Additionally, the property is in close proximity to the Wolf Creek Ski Area, where guests can enjoy winter activities such as skiing and snowboarding.

“The Holiday Inn Resort Pagosa Springs is an ideal property to add to the growing brand portfolio as it offers many leisure activities and entertainment right on property and in the surrounding area for the entire family to enjoy,” says Heather Balsley, senior vice president, Americas Core Brands & Brand Operations.

The Holiday Inn Resort Hotel Pagosa Springs is slated for completion by summer 2015, following extensive renovations undertaken by the owner.
