Choice Hotels International continues growing the offerings in its upscale Ascend Hotel Collection, adding the 75-key Infinity Hotel San Francisco to its portfolio of unique, boutique and historic hotels and resorts with local flavor.

Infinity Hotel is situated at 2322 Lombard St. in the Marina District and offers travelers modern accommodations with waterfront access and views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Popular San Francisco attractions including Coit Tower, the Palace of Fine Arts, Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, Union Square and the Moscone Conference Center are all within 15 minutes of the hotel.

The property recently completed a multi-year renovation that added industrial-chic architecture, contemporary design features and modern guest-focused amenities. The hotel has spacious guestrooms, complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby and airy indoor corridors with lush foliage and living wall gardens. Guests of Infinity Hotel San Francisco will be able to participate in the Choice Privileges loyalty rewards program.

Choice Hotels International stated in its first-quarter 2019 earnings report released last month that it grew the number of guestrooms in its upscale Ascend and Cambria brands by 12 percent between March 31, 2018, and March 31, 2019. In May, the company announced it was beginning construction on the second Cambria property in Fort Lauderdale Beach, Fla., with plans to open the 104-key hotel in 2020.

Growing the Ascend brand

Launched in 2008, the Ascend Hotel Collection has more than 250 properties open and more than 70 hotels in its worldwide pipeline. This year, the brand expects to open several hotels in major markets in the U.S., including Brooklyn and Long Island City in New York, Philadelphia and Napa, Calif. The LOOK Hotel was among six hotels that opened in April 2017. Others opening that month were the 101-key enVision Hotel Boston–Everett in Everett, Mass.; The Solstice Erie, a 74-key property near Splash Lagoon Waterpark in Erie, Pa.; Allentown Park Hotel, a 125-key hotel near Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, Pa.; the 78-key Hotel at Sunland Park Casino in Sunland Park, N.M.; and Gold Miners Inn, a 90-key property in Grass Valley, Calif.
