Hyatt Regency Expands in China

Located in the center of Xuzhou, the development includes more than 8,000 square feet of event space, as well as 25 suites, four executive suites and a presidential suite.

Hyatt Hotels Corp. has opened Hyatt Regency Xuzhou, a 344-key hotel in China’s Jiangsu Province. P49 Deesign designed the property.

Located at 29 E. Huaihai Road, in the heart of Xyzhou’s central business district, the property is the only hotel in the five-tower Suning Plaza development featuring premium offices, residences and entertainment venues. Hyatt Regency Xuzhou offers convenient access to Xuzhou High Speed Railway stations as well as to various shopping, dining and entertainment venues.

The hotel offers 25 suites, four executive suites and a presidential suite. Common-area amenities include:

  • 24-hour fitness center
  • indoor swimming pool
  • free Wi-Fi
  • laundry facilities
  • 24-hour room service

Hyatt Regency Xuzhou offers four dining and lounge venues serving both local and international cuisines located on the 60th floor. Additionally, the hotel includes a sky bar, as well as a restaurant with seven dining rooms. A Market Café is available on the 42nd floor and on the fifth floor there is more than 8,000 square feet of event space including a Regency Ballroom featuring 3,609 square feet and nine well-equipped meeting rooms ranging from 190 to 541 square feet.

“Xuzhou not only boasts a proud heritage as the birthplace of Han culture, but today it is the core city of the Huaihai Economic Zone and an important hub of the Yangtze River Delta region,” Jed Jiang, general manager of Hyatt Regency Xuzhou, said in a prepared statement.

Back in July, the company entered into an agreement with a Hungarian company to open another Regency hotel, a 231-key property located on the former post palace office building in Postapalota.
