Zadar, CroatiaHyatt Hotels Corp. and Dogus Croatia recently announced plans for Hyatt Regency Zadar Maraska, the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Croatia. Following a full renovation, the landmark Maraska building will be converted into a 130-key waterfront Hyatt hotel, and is set to open in the spring of 2019.

Hyatt Regency Zadar Maraska will feature authentic dining and beverage options, as well as upscale amenities such as a fitness center, spa and outdoor swimming pool. The hotel will also host a variety of events, including weddings, social banquets, exhibitions, meetings and conferences.

Hyatt’s new hotel will be located within walking distance of the famous Sea Organ, an experimental instrument that plays music through the movement of sea waves. With its strategic location, the hotel will appeal to travelers visiting Croatia’s Dalmatian coast, the Roman and Venetian ruins, and national parks, including Plitvice Lakes and Zadar Archipelago.

“With Hyatt, we look forward to transforming the famous Maraska building and we believe the strong Hyatt Regency brand experience, combined with the hotel’s excellent facilities, will have a great appeal to those visiting the country,” Burak Baykan, regional director for Croatia and Montenegro with the Dogus Group, said in a statement.
