Tampa, Fla.Hunt Mortgage Group recently announced that it opened an office in Tampa at 100 S. Ashley Drive, Suite 600, and appointed Anne Stewart as director to lead local efforts.

Stewart will focus on originating agency debt—primarily small balance loans under the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae Small Balance Loan Programs for clients in the Southeast. She will report directly to Managing Director Owen Breheny.

Hunt Mortgage Group offers bridge financing through their Proprietary Loan Group and has a dedicated division focused exclusively on providing small balance loans between $1 million to $5 million to borrowers nationwide. “Our decision to open an office in Tampa is in direct response to the area’s strong market dynamics,” said Breheny in prepared remarks. “A local presence enables us to better serve the growing needs of area developers.”

Prior to joining Hunt Mortgage, Stewart served as managing director at Guggenheim Commercial Real Estate Finance LLC, where she was responsible for sourcing commercial real estate mortgage transactions for the small balance CMBS program. Previously, she held senior origination positions with Credit Suisse/Column Financial, Potomac Realty Capital and Ocwen Federal.

“Anne is a seasoned financial service executive with a solid background originating and closing small balance deals in the local commercial real estate market,” added Breheny.

Stewart holds a B.A. in business economics from the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio.
