Hunt Mortgage Group Names New VP

With more than 15 years of industry experience, Anthony Valenzuela—specializing in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans—will work from the firm’s Phoenix office.

Hunt Mortgage Group has hired Anthony Valenzuela as its new vice president. In his new position, Valenzuela will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating and closing permanent, bridge and proprietary loans. Based in the company’s Phoenix office, he will report to Hunt Mortgage Group Senior Managing Director Vic Clark.

In his previous role, Valenzuela was a member of CBRE’s debt team. With more than 15 years of industry experience, he specializes in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans, having placed more than $2 billion of debt and equity across a wide range of capital sources. Valenzuela received his Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University.

“The southwest is a rich region with strong dynamics and solid underlying real estate fundamentals. Adding to the local team in the area enables us to better serve the rapidly growing needs of local developers and investors. Anthony is an experienced commercial banking professional known for his stellar work ethic and excellent client service skills,” said Clark, in prepared remarks. “He is well versed in the execution behind every phase of the transaction. He is also a market leader and expert in the origination of niche agency programs including Green, Value-Add and Near Stabilized loans.”
