Following the recent successes in Southern Arizona’s luxury apartment market, HSL Properties Inc. completes its portfolio with Encantada at Tucson National. The company broke ground on the new multifamily property in early December.

Co-founded by Humberto Lopez and Glenn Toyoshima in 1975, HSL is focused mainly on multi-family apartment communities. Since its inception, the Tucson-based company has acquired, owned, operated and developed properties in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, New Mexico and Texas. Its Tucson collection already includes over 30 communities, and the new addition is the fourth local member of the ‘Encantada’ family after Encantada at Riverside Crossing (2011), Encantada at Dove Mountain (2013), and Encantada at Steam Pump (2014).

The new $46 million, 368-unit luxury apartment home community in the northwest Tucson metropolitan area will be designed by Eglin + Bresler Architects PC. HSL Construction Services LLC will serve as the general contractor for the project. On-site amenities includes a 24-hour fitness center, a private movie theatre, complimentary coffee bar, a dog ranch, two resort pools with large spa and fully appointed private cabanas. The unit interiors will feature granite slab countertops, solid wood cabinets, full-size laundry with multi-cycle washer and dryer, 9-foot plus ceilings, wood-style flooring, and more.

Construction of Encantada at Tucson National is scheduled to be completed in fall of 2016, and the plan includes the widening of Shannon Road to five lanes north of Cortaro Road to Club Drive. The Shannon Road and Club Drive intersection will also be signalized to improve traffic flow in the area. The community is scheduled to open for lease-up in the summer of 2015.
