The Hawaii Community Development Authority will officially unveil the 803 Waimanu St. condominium project in Kakaako in November. According to the Pacific Business News, California-based real estate developer Franco Mola is proposing the construction of a 65-foot, seven-story building with 153 market-priced residences, 30 of which will be slated for reserved housing. Plans also call for 8,477-square-feet of recreation space and ground-floor parking for 92 vehicles.

A&B Properties to Acquire Kahala Properties from Kawamoto
In an off-market transaction, A&B Properties, the real estate subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin, has paid approximately $98 million to acquire a portfolio of 31 residential properties from Japanese real estate investor Genshiro Kawamoto. Twenty-seven of the properties are located on Kahala Avenue, Honolulu’s premier residential address, which spans along the ocean from Diamond Head to Waialae Country Club, home of the Sony Open, and the world-famous Kahala Hotel & Resort.
Sales Underway for OliverMcMillan’s Reserved Housing Units at Symphony Honolulu
The sales process for the reserved housing units at the mixed-use Symphony Honolulu condominium tower in Kakaako has begun. According to the Pacific Business News, a total of 100 residences are available for families earning less than 140 percent of the Honolulu area median income. Applications are being accepted through September 24.

Hawaii Pacific University has announced the successful sale of all the securities in the first $42 million issue of its special purpose revenue bonds. The funds will be used to finance the overall development of the university, particularly the Aloha Tower Marketplace project in downtown Honolulu.
