HFF Arranges Sale of Retail Center Near DC

The grocery-anchored center was 98 percent leased at the time of the sale.

Washington—HFF announced the sale of Dunkirk Gateway, a 133,269-square-foot shopping center in the Washington, D.C., bedroom community of Dunkirk, Md.

The HFF investment sales team, led by John Owendoff and Jordan Lex, marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a combined fund managed by Clarion Partners. Dunkirk Gateway was purchased by Lehcro Corp., a D.C.-based retail development and management company.

The grocery-anchored center is situated on more than 18 acres of land alongside Route 4 at 10790 Town Center Blvd. in Calvert County, approximately 25 miles away from D.C. The retail property was 98 percent leased at the time of the transaction.

Dunkirk Gateway is anchored by Giant, a leading grocery provider in the Washington, D.C., area, and shadow anchored by Wal-Mart. Other tenants include Sherwin Williams, Olympia Sports, Ledo Pizza, Capital One Bank, Verizon Wireless, AutoZone, Bank of America and Starbucks.
