Greysteel is heading to the Big Apple, recently announcing the opening of the company’s first New York office in Brooklyn Heights. The new location will accommodate the firm’s continuing expansion throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The new office will be co-led by the newly appointed Michael Stimler and Ari Firoozabadi, president & CEO of Greysteel.

Expanding into New York has been something we have considered for a long time. But we needed the right team in place to do it, which we now have with Michael at the helm,” Firoozabadi said in prepared remarks.

In conjunction with the office expansion, Greysteel has appointed Stimler as senior investment associate and founding member of the New York Investment Sales division. In his new function, Stimler will be responsible for arranging sales and financing for private client, middle market and institutional multifamily properties in the New York City area. Prior to joining Greysteel, he worked for the New York City division of Marcus & Millichap, where he supervised the company’s expansion into new markets, in addition to the daily responsibilities of deal executions. Before that, he worked for a private equity firm in New York City.

I look forward to leveraging Greysteel’s innovative marketing and research solutions to optimize value and shorten the marketing timeline for my clients. Additionally, the integrated capital solutions approach employed by Greysteel will enable me to better serve apartment owners and investor’s needs,” Stimler said in a prepared statement.
