A joint venture of Heritage Communities and Phoenix-based Telis Commercial Real Estate will break ground next month on Orchard Pointe at Arrowhead, a $20 million assisted living and memory care community in Glendale.

The project will be developed on a 4-acre tract located on 67th Avenue, which was acquired by the joint venture in January for $2.2 million. Colliers International’s Phoenix office represented the seller, LC Coffee of Lincoln, Neb.

Orchard Pointe at Arrowhead will offer 100 units, 82 of them dedicated to assisted living and 18 to memory care. This is Heritage Communities’ second assisted living and memory care project in the Phoenix metro area, following Orchard Pointe in Surprise.

“This was an excellent opportunity for the buyer to purchase a quality infill site in the Northwest Valley,” said Greg Hopley, executive vice president with Colliers International’s Scottsdale office, in a statement. “The proximity to hotels, retail and residential developments of Arrowhead Ranch were very important to the buyer.”

The facility was designed by Reece Angel Rower Architects and is expected to open its doors sometime in fall 2016.
