Boston’s waterfront development just got a boost with the signing of four leases at the city’s Seaport Center. The Beal Companies L.L.P. and Rockport Group L.L.C. inked deals with Monster.com and Verizon for 28,000 square feet each, Altran Solutions for 13,500 square feet, and Interaction Associates for 10,000 square feet, for a total of 79,500 square feet.

The firms are all moving to the Seaport Center for disparate reasons. Monster.com will occupy its first Boston location, while Verizon has renewed its telecom facility and Altran has renewed its lease for its northeast headquarters. Interaction Associations is relocating its East Coast headquarters from Cambridge to the Seaport Center. The Seaport Center is now 80 percent leased, with 100,000 square feet of office space still available. The entire center comprises 293,000 square feet and is equipped to handle needs from 5,000 square feet to 250,000 square feet.

Jones Lang LaSalle is the exclusive leasing agent for the Seaport Center. NAI Hunneman represented Monster, CB Richard Ellis represented Verizon, Grubb & Ellis represented Altran, and FHO Partners represented Interaction Associates.

“I want to welcome Monster.com and Interaction Associates to the city,” Boston mayor Thomas Menino said when announcing the news. “I think they will enjoy taking advantage of all that the South Boston waterfront has to offer.”
