Foundation Software, based in Cleveland, Ohio, has released an improvement to its flagship product, Foundations for Windows, an application used in the construction industry. The new feature, Executive Dashboard, lets users view and analyze key data for job expenses to facilitate financial accounting. Users will be able to view a summary on one screen, and then if they want to, they can choose to delve deeper into details. The Executive Dashboard is completely integrated multi-user environment in real–time, so that added pertinent information will be instantly accessible, making this a far more beneficial system for managers than traditional spreadsheets and printed reports. The dashboard also features a scrolling ticker across the bottom of the screen that will contain key aggregate data for the viewer. President of Foundation Software Mike Ode told CPN, “The most exciting aspect of this new feature is the easy access for product managers and owners to immediately see where they currently stand on a particular job, and the nice thing is you can do visually, through colorful graphics and charts. And then you have the capability to drill down into every single transaction that makes up those graphics. The key to the dashboard – it lets you quickly and easily with just a simple click of a mouse see where you are at any given time as well as find out more information about any of the particular costs.” This new feature was 9 months in development, and is the major release for this year. Foundation Software has been specializing in the construction market for a quarter of a century. The company now serves more than 2,000 contractor customers across the nation.
