InterContinental Hotels Group has signed the Staybridge Suites Warsaw Ursynow, the first Staybridge in Poland. This signing marks the company’s eighth property in Europe.

Operating under a franchise agreement with WIK Capital, IHG will debut the 190-key hotel in late 2019.

Ideal location

The property will feature free Wi-Fi, a fitness room, 24-hour convenience store, laundry facilities, 24-hour business center and separate work spaces in each of the guestrooms. The hotel will offer close access to Warsaw Airport and tourist destinations such as the Kabaty Forest, Sluzewiec horse racing track and Natolin Palace. IHG currently has seven Staybridge Suites across Europe with a further six in the pipeline.

“We are excited to be bringing Poland’s first Staybridge Suites to Warsaw. As the financial hub of Poland, Warsaw is the perfect location for the brand,” said Miguel Martins, director of development in Poland for IHG, in prepared remarks. “Staybridge Suites has more than doubled its presence in the last ten years globally and as Warsaw becomes a tourism and business hub within Eastern Europe, it makes perfect sense to develop Poland’s first Staybridge Suites here.”

Most recently, IHG debuted the largest Holiday Inn Express in Hawaii, the Waikiki hotel, which features 44 stories and 596 guestrooms.
