The two properties–Shoreline Hotel Waikiki and Coconut Waikiki Hotel–were previously managed by Joie de Vivre Hotels.

Located just steps from the beach, and surrounded by the world’s best shopping venues, Shoreline Hotel Waikiki offers 135 guestrooms designed in a classic Hawaiian island-chic style by San Francisco-based Anthony Laurino. Guests here can also enjoy the popular all-day café and diner Heavenly Island Lifestyle.

Filament has also assumed the management of the 81-key Coconut Waikiki, a colorful boutique hotel situated just blocks from Waikiki Beach.

The property features bright, spacious rooms, as well as an intimate pool area with a wrap-around deck, a business center and a 24-hour fitness center. Under Filament’s management, the hotel will be undergoing a refurbishment, which is set to be completed by mid-2016.

Award-winning Anthony Laurino, who spearheaded the interior design of the Shoreline Hotel Waikiki (formerly Seaside Hotel), will also lead the Coconut Waikiki redesign.

In Hawaii, Filament also manages Lumeria, an all-inclusive wellness retreat located on the island of Maui.

“Increasing our presence in Hawaii is in line with our expansion plans for Filament Hospitality,” Ingrid Summerfield, Filament Hospitality’s president, said in prepared remarks. “Waikiki is an exciting and dynamic city and these truly boutique offerings are highly appealing to our discerning clients.”
