Federal Realty Investment Trust has topped out 915 Meeting St., an upcoming 276,000-square-foot office building in North Bethesda, Md. Clark Construction Group is the general contractor of the project that broke ground in December 2021.

At full build-out, the structure will be the newest element of the 24-acre, transit-oriented Pike & Rose neighborhood. The building will encompass 250,000 square feet of office space, 6,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and 545 parking spots, complementing the retail, dining and entertainment offerings of the area.

Envisioned by Gensler to achieve LEED Gold certification, the 16-story property will feature a glass curtain wall and offer an array of amenities, including a rooftop conference hub and fitness center. In a prepared statement, Vice President of Development at Federal Realty Jay Brinson mentioned that the building was designed to comply to environmental, social and governance goals.

Back in 2021, Choice Hotels International inked a long-term lease with Federal Realty to occupy 105,000 square feet at the property. French food services and facilities management company Sodexo will also relocate its U.S. headquarters to 915 Meeting St. in the spring of 2024, occupying 52,000 square feet.

Situated in the proximity of interstates 270 and 495, the property is within walking distance of White Flint Metro Station, while downtown Washington, D.C., is roughly 11 miles south. Pike & Rose received LEED Gold for Neighborhood Development certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
