Fairmont Hotels & Resorts revealed plans for Fairmont Saint Lucia at Sunset Bay, a 120-key hotel located on the southwest coast of Saint Lucia. According to Pridenews, the total cost of the project will be $220 million.

Fairmont Saint Lucia at Sunset Bay will include 40 private residential villas across 25 acres. The development will feature four restaurants and bars, a 9,000-square-foot spa, a swimming pool with a main resort pool, children’s pool and adult pool with cabanas, a private marina and more than 10,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space.

Beach-side Location

The hotel will be located some 1,870 feet from the beach and 20 minutes from the international airport, making the property the island’s southernmost luxury resort. WATG and Wimberly Interiors will design the project. The hotel is slated to open in 2019.

“This resort marks the continued expansion of Fairmont’s rapidly growing portfolio of highly sought after luxury vacation resorts around the world,” said Kevin Frid, COO, North & Central America, AccorHotels, which owns the Fairmont brand.

Fairmont continues to expand globally, with more than 70 hotels worldwide. Other new luxury hotels set to open soon include Fairmont Amman in Jordan and Fairmont Austin, a 37-story luxury hotel.
