ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers and LifeBridge Health are building a new urgent care center in Baltimore. This will be the first ExpressCare center in the city.

Teams from ExpressCare and LifeBridge were present on Wednesday, September 2, on the corner of Greenspring Avenue and Cylburn Avenue in North Baltiore’s Pimlico area, to celebrate the groundbreaking of the project. The new center will have 5,000 square feet of space. It will house 10 medical providers and will offer Baltimore families treatment for most non-life threatening conditions, such as broken bones, burns or the flu, as well as work-related injury services and pre-employment and sports physicals. The center is scheduled to open in the spring of 2016.

ExpressCare and LifeBridge did not reveal the cost of the project. The two partners said in a statement that the North Baltimore facility will be open seven days a week and will welcome people whether or not they have appointments and whether or not they have a primary care doctor.

Once completed, the new center will be the 27th Express Care location. Other similar facilities are already operating in Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
