EQ Office Signs New Tenant at Orange County Campus

An outdoor apparel company is relocating to a creative office campus in Costa Mesa.

Outdoor apparel company 5.11 Inc. has leased 39,650 square feet at CANVAS, a creative office campus in Costa Mesa, Calif. The firm is relocating to the EQ Office-owned building from its previous headquarters in Irvine, Calif. Newmark facilitated the lease on behalf of the owner. 

CANVAS is a recently revamped 550,000-square-foot campus that provides short-term leases, co-working spaces, move-in-ready suites, as well as custom blocks of office with full build-out capabilities. The five-story building was built in 1987 and offers a parking ratio of 4 spaces per 1,000 square feet, according to CommercialEdge data. Tenants have access to wellness amenities, indoor and outdoor working spaces, as well as an arts and culture scene.

Located at 3070-3150 Bristol St., just south of Interstate 405, the office campus is less than a mile north of the SOBECA neighborhood. Several shopping, dining and entertainment options are available within a 1-mile radius.

Executive Managing Director Jay Nugent, Senior Managing Director Drew Netherton and Managing Directors Richard Sung and Andrew Robben formed the Newmark team that represented the property owner in the transaction. JLL Orange County Senior Managing Director Louis Tomaselli and Executive Vice President Scott Wetzel acted on behalf of the retail brand.
