CBRE Cincinnati’s Mike McMillan to Represent Proposed Technology Park in Oxford
A proposed 74-acre technology park next to Miami University could transform Oxford into Ohio’s Silicon Valley. Or, as Ryan Howard, a character on the popular TV show The Office, called it, a Silicon Prairie. Recently, Mike McMillan, of CBRE Cincinnati’s Data Center Solutions Group, has been selected to represent this build-to-suit project, find tenants and help get it off the ground.

Server Farm Realty LLC Adds Second Data Center in Chicago to Portfolio
Server Farm Realty LLC has expanded its presence in the Chicagoland market with the acquisition of a data center facility. The Los Angeles-based company has acquired the data center facility located at 800 and 810 Jorie Boulevard in Oak Brook, Ill. for $16,250,000. The Oak Brook facility becomes the company’s second Chicagoland data center project after it revealed its 450,000-square-foot data center at 840 South Canal Street in Chicago in June last year.

Savvis to Open New Data Center in Minneapolis
Savvis, a CenturyLink company, specializing in cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions for businesses, recently announced plans to expand its North American footprint by opening a new data center in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area in the spring of 2014. The new Savvis MP2 data center, built to support 4.8 megawatts of IT load on 100,000 square feet of raised floor space, will open with an initial 1.2 megawatts and 13,000 square feet of raised floor space.
