After executing a 10-year lease at their current HQ at One Addison Circle, Behringer renewed its commitment to the city by announcing plans to relocate to the Tollway Center, a 200,000-square-foot office building in Addison. The multi-strategy investment firm was assisted in its search by JLL and expects to make the relocation by the third quarter of 2016.

Ridge Development, the development arm of Transwestern Development Co., recently announced plans to develop Railhead Industrial Park, a 642,000-square-foot, dual rail-served industrial park. The project will be developed in two phases on a 47-acre tract in north Fort Worth.

More than 940,000 square feet of industrial space will be added to the Dallas real estate market in Q4 2015. Stream Realty Partners along with Clarion Partners recently broke ground for Northport 35 Business Center, a three-building industrial project in Northlake, TX.

Is it time to move from build-to-suit and pre-leased industrial projects to speculative ones in Dallas? Denver-based Amstar certainly thinks so! The firm recently announced that it executed a ten-year lease with MI Windows & Doors at the DFW North Distribution Center in Flower Mound, TX, a speculative project started in 2014 with development partner Huntington Industrial Partners.

Equity Office, a Blackstone Group affiliate, recently partnered up with architecture firm 5G Studio Collaborative for the renovation of Solana Business Park’s 230-acre campus. The company plans to invest more than $50 million to reposition the 14-building office complex as a premier office project in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area.

The City Council of Frisco unanimously approved the issuance of $70 million in tax exempt bonds for the development of WholeLife Frisco™, an active adult community. The approval followed a public TEFRA hearing (Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act), a prerequisite for tax-exempt private-activity bonds.
