Compass Self Storage Buys Atlanta-Area Facility
The 58,000-square-foot facility, which is located in Snellville, Ga., marks the 11th Compass Self Storage facility in the greater Atlanta market.

Compass Self Storage, an affiliate of Amsdell Group LLC, has purchased a self-storage facility totaling 58,000 rentable square feet in Snellville, Ga. McWhirter Realty Partners LLC worked on behalf of the buyer in the transaction. The facility marks the 11th Compass Self Storage location in the greater Atlanta market.
The facility, formerly known as the American Storage Center, is located at 3464 Stone Mountain Highway, 40 minutes from Atlanta. Built in 1985, the asset comprises climate-controlled units, ranging from 25 to 440 square feet. Other features include drive-up access, moving and packing supplies and truck rental options. The buyer plans to improve the security and the installation of individual access control, as well as to remodel and expand the rental office.

The latest acquisition of Compass Self Storage includes a 68,000-square-foot self-storage facility in Fort Worth, Texas.
