Colliers Appoints New Senior Managing Director

With nearly three decades of real estate experience, Thomas Shirock will focus on strengthening the New York Tri-State Consulting Group's business lines.

Following Robert Brierley’s promotion in Boston, Colliers International welcomed a new addition to its New York Tri-State Consulting Group team. The firm hired Thomas Shirock as senior managing director, He will focus on extending the firm’s financial modeling and reporting, innovative deal configuration, economic comparisons and cost analysis for acquisitions, dispositions, strategic planning initiatives and other client projects. 

He will have an immediate impact on the analytics and strategic advice we provide clients, and his leadership and transaction management experience will enhance every initiative in which he participates,” Colliers Eastern Region President Joseph Harbert said in a prepared statement.

Real estate veteran

Shirock brings more than 26 years of real estate experience, having previously served as CBRE’s New Jersey Consulting senior vice president, where he oversaw strategic and financial analysis, transaction management and lease review for office, industrial and retail projects locally and nationally. He also held various roles within Insignia/ESG Inc. prior to its acquisition by CBRE in 2003. He started his career at Edward S. Gordon Co.

He holds a B.A. in Business and Geology and an MBA in Finance from Rice University.
